Gotta Catch Em All, Pokemon! That phrase has been known around the world for about twenty-six years now. The phrase that you always associate when thinking about Pokemon. And they’ve been creating the games many know and love for generations and generations to come. One of those games that are coming out is Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.
The great and wise words of Maya Angelou couldn’t be any more perfect for the subject I’m talking to you guys about today. It’s been mere days, but it still feels as fresh and painful as the day it happened. When women lost their right to their own bodies. The day Roe v. Wade got struck down. Many of us are still dumbstruck by the ludicrous and the absolute audacity of the Supreme Court to do this to women everywhere in the United States.
So. It’s completely built and ready to go, what could possibly be the next step? Simple! Prime, Paint, and Perfect! The last step is also known as…Detail the ever-loving crap out of it. This last part of the Celty helmet was the most time-consuming, but it’s one of my favorite steps on a project. Let’s see how this one went, shall we?
Strength derived from strife. Power derived from loss. Love derived from betrayal. Friendship derived from exile. Yona had to deal with all of this and lost so much but gained that much more in return. Forced to grow up from just a carefree sixteen-year-old girl without a care in the world and only worried about how unruly her beautiful red hair was, to a fierce warrior with a group of powerful friends who will follow her to the ends of the earth and help her obtain her one goal: take back her beloved country from the man who murdered her father, the king. And was once the one she called the love of her life.
Sexual harassment has always been a hot topic in society and has been discussed repeatedly from incidents in Hollywood to politics. But, it doesn’t just happen in places of public figures, sexual harassment has been a problem in the cosplay community as well.
Well, now that we have that out of the way, I have never seen a more beautiful and heart-clenching way to bring a central idea of a manga all the way full circle and present a foil at the same time. What do I mean exactly?
You have to start from somewhere. That’s how the saying goes, doesn’t it? And that, I find, is something that rings true time and time again. Especially with cosplay. Seven years ago I literally had no clue what I was doing when it came to cosplay. I just barely found out about cosplay just after I graduated in 2014. It was when I went to my first anime convention Anime Banzai. I saw how everywhere I turned there were these absolutely amazing cosplays of so many of my favorite characters. After I left that weekend, I knew I had to give it a try. I just didn’t know how. Thus the adventure began.
We all know with the last chapter that our awesome class 1-A is training very hard and improving their quirks even more seeing that All For One is still out there. Weakened, but still very much out there. But, what really comes as a shock is with this chapter we finally find out who the U.A. traitor really is. Some of the fandom have called it, but some have also been shocked by this reveal. That includes yours truly.

Conventions. Every nerd’s favorite thing to go to each year. It’s where we can express our love and passion for all of the movies, shows, anime, video games, whatever we are obsessed with without being judged for it. These places are even where our wallets practically cry out in pain from all the spending we do on the things that we “Must have” even though we really don’t, but it makes us happy to have it anyways.

Whether it be cosplay, musical theater, writing, photography, video games, or anything else for that matter.
Ever wondered how it would be like if you could dress in your cosplay and act out scenes from your favorite anime or make stories to different audios? And it would be as simple as using your phone to do it, no YouTube needed? Well for a few years now, there has been an app created where you can do exactly that. Granted, at first, it was named Musicaly, but now several hundred—no thousand people know it as Tik Tok.
