An open-world Pokémon game, that’s what all of the Pokémon fans have been waiting for. The newest Pokémon game: Legends of Arceus. It’s only been out for a short time but it’s become a huge hit. But how good is it? Well in this review I give y’all my thoughts on it so far. So, let’s get to it eh?
Story:
So far from what I’ve played, it’s a pretty fun story. Your character is either time traveled from present-day Sinnoh to years in the past when it was Hisui. Or! My other theory is your character is iseakied into the Pokémon world. Then with how you get to experience the galaxy research team and help them out, it has led to many interesting adventures dealing with tribes and Pokémon that definitely make it a fun game to play. I’m still a bit of a skeptic because this new story mechanic is definitely from what I’m used to but I’m sure with time, it’ll grow on me.
Score: 9/10
Characters:
I’ve gotta say, I’m actually impressed with the characters it’s pretty cool to see the ancestors of the current character in present-day Sinnoh. All though they seem a tad lackluster, then again I’m only at the beginning so in my next review perhaps my view will change.
Score: 6/10
Gameplay:
I actually really love all of the gameplay mechanics. Especially the way we can catch Pokémon and battle. It feels like we’re actually put into the game with the things we’re able to do.
Score: 10/10
Fangirl lvl:
Feeling like you’re in the game for real? Check.
Beautiful graphics? Check.
Open exploration? Check.
Score: 10/10
Total Score: 36/40
Overall, it’s not a bad score, Though I think once I play more of the game this review will change. But I’m sure there will be another review with different thoughts. After all, I myself was looking forward to this game. But let’s see if that is true or not eh? What are your guys’ thoughts so far? Do you agree with me on the current review? I’d love to hear your thoughts?
Hey guys! Welcome my precious little Rebels to Rebellious Reviews! I certainly haven’t posted one of these in a while. But now I finally have inspiration for what to review! And this time it’s the origin story of G.I. Joe Origins: Snake Eyes! It’s quite the movie so I believe this will be a good review! So let’s get started with it, shall we?
Story:
From the very beginning, the movie catches you. And I had high expectations for this movie seeing that it’s the origin story of the one and only mysterious masked assassin: Snake Eyes! I liked the story quite a bit but at the same time, it confused me.
Before we get to that though let’s see how our tragic hero got his start and name eh?
*Spoiler warning!*
He got his name because he was in the closet of him and his father’s cabin as he watched helplessly as a group of bad guys kill his father all because his father’s dice roll turned into the lowest roll possible: two ones aka snake eyes. He carried that moniker with him to remind himself of what happened to his father. I also believe that this ties into him starting as a tragic hero—watches a parent die right in from him, feeling like he’s to blame because he couldn’t do anything but watch, and vows to avenge them. It’s a common trope yes, but it was used so well in this scenario in my opinion.
*spoiler end*
Then when he’s older and ends up with a group of people because he has a deal with someone who can help him catch his father’s killer he definitely creates some very influential relationships.
*Slight spoiler*
For example, he meets the one and only Scarlet of the G.I. Joes. And Tommy, who becomes a good friend and someone who becomes somewhat of a rival to him.
Score: 9/10
Characters:
In my opinion Snake Eyes is such a complex and strong character. They made many levels to him. Sure, the tragic hero trope was a bit overdone in a way but not so much so as other heroes I’ve come across. *cough* Dare Devil *cough.
And then there’s the character Tommy who he comes across and befriends. He’s very strong-willed and pure of heart—most of the time, so he becomes someone very important in Snake Eyes’ life. The only thing that confused me overall with these two, mainly Snake Eyes, is that when we watch the very first G.I. Joe movie we see that Snake Eyes is orphaned—not far off, but meets Storm Chaser through joining a monk monastery. This movie completely contradicts this in several ways. For example, the life of Snake Eyes.
*Spoilers!*
He grows up as a fighter and unwittingly joins the Yakuza which leads to him saving Tommy’s life and joining his group. The thing is…in the first Joe movie it doesn’t give the chance for that to happen to him purely for the fact of Tommy…becoming Storm Chaser. He didn’t meet him in any monastery, he became Storm Chaser because he was pushed away from his family and was hell-bent on killing his brother. Cobra used this and recruited him. He then took on the name Storm Chaser because he was told that when troubled, his eyes looked like they were in the middle of a storm. Extremely different from the first Joe movie.
Perhaps this overwrites the history in the first movie or it’s completely different. The story is very well done and completely captivating, not to mention thrilling. But, because of that one thing, it’s confusing. Especially to those who love to speculate the history and things that make the series tick.
Score: 8/10
Graphics:
Not much to say here other than the fight scenes are amazing. I loved watching them and it gave me really good inspiration for writing my own fight scenes in my stories. And the powers that come into play at the end looked very well done as well.
Score: 10/10
Fan Girl Level:
Confusing but interesting storyline.
Amazing and deep characters.
Badass fight scenes.
Score: 9/10
Final Score: 36/40
Well, that’s it for this week’s review! I hope you guys enjoyed it! What do you guys think? Do y’all agree with my consensus, or have different views? I love to hear them!
Hey everyone! Welcome to this week’s Rebellious Reviews! This week I’ll be covering the newest movie on Amazon’s streaming service. The new Cinderella! Now, at first, I was actually quite skeptical to watch this since My first thought was you seen one Cinderella movie you’ve seen them all. But I’m very happy to say I was very wrong. The music they have in it was even really entertaining. So, let’s get going, shall we?
Characters:
We all know the usual Cinderella characters: stepmother, stepdaughters, Cinderella, the fairy godmother, prince, etc., etc. But this movie provides quite a few twists to our usual well-known beloved fairy tale characters. For example, our beautiful Cinderella—or rather Ella. Instead of a damsel in distress, we have a strong beautiful girl that has a dream to be a famous dressmaker in a town that doesn’t believe that women should be anything aside from wives. Then, we have the fairy godmother. Or rather fairy godfather, but still goes by the title fairy godmother and is seven times more fabulous. I won’t spoil how he comes into Ella’s life, but it is ten times better than what the original story gives us. Trust me on this guys. There are so many more characters I could analyze like the prince and how amazingly different he is than the usual air-headed boy that can’t recognize a girl if it hit him with a shoe—pun intended. Or the smother and sisters who are just as mean but have a more snotty side and much more heartless. Or lastly the mice, oh the mice. When they turn human, it is a riot trust me. This movie makes these old, tired characters so much more awesome.
Score: 10/10
Graphics/costumes:
More than graphics—seeing as this is a live-action movie, the costumes of this movie are absolutely phenomenal. The dresses that Ella makes for one, are gorgeous. The detail that has been put into them is absolutely phenomenal. Granted, I have a soft spot for costume design, but I do know good costumes when I see them. Especially the townspeople, the fairy godmother—God don’t get me started on how fabulous this man looked, even the prince and the royals. It was very well done.
Score: 10/10
Storyline:
I can’t give much away unfortunately seeing that it will spoil the whole movie—and I will never be someone who writes a review with spoilers galore, only maybe one or two here and there. What I can say is, it was quite well done with the storyline and how they switched it up. It gave a more empowering role to Cinderella, and I greatly appreciated seeing this for once. I only wish we could have seen what became of Ella after the whole story was tied together. And if we would have gotten a little more time with the Fairy Godmother of the fabulous west It would have been that much better.
Score: 8/10
Fangirl Rating: 10/10
Final Score: 38/40
Well, that’s all for this Rebellious Review! How did I do? Do you guys agree with the score, maybe think different on a category? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Just leave a comment below or feel free to message me!

Hey everyone! Welcome to this week’s Rebellious Review! In honor of the third season of Kuroko no Basket coming out on Netflix this week I have decided to make a review of the second season of this anime. And oh goodness it is a doozy! Well, let’s get started, shall we?
Characters
In this season we still have our usual amazing team Seirin. From Hyuga, Izuki, Koga, Riko, to Kagami and Kuroko! But the cool thing is, in the second season we don’t get just our usual team members. We get to see more of the other Generation of Miracles. Especially a lot of character development for each of them. And last, Seirin gets a new/old player back on their team. The one and only Teppei Kyoshi—the founder of the Seirin basketball team.
Seeing each of the characters grow in the second season was really awesome. You get to really know the characters and what makes up their personality and why they are the way they are in basketball.
Score: 10/10
Plot
Can anyone say intense!? After the first season where Seirin gets defeated by Too, they come back stronger than ever. Of course, it all starts with Riko’s training camp on the beach. Kuroko and the others learn to perfect new techniques and Kagami gets stronger with his legs and the way to perfect his jumps. Then, when it comes with each game, all leading up to the Too game, and not to mention the game up against Yosen it’s completely intense. I couldn’t have asked for a better season.
Score: 10/10
Graphics
For a sports anime, this one delivers a pretty good look for its viewers. Not only that, but the character design also itself is really well done. Something that popped out to me though, was the graphics of the different special moves some of the players of the various teams have. Especially when we get to see Kuroko’s famous Vanishing Drive or his passes in general. The animators do a very good job at portraying the speed and how sharp the direction of the ball is.
Score: 10/10
Fangirl Level:
Interesting storyline? Check.
Fangirl-worthy characters? Check.
Score: 10/10
Final Score: 40/40
What did you guys think? Do you agree with my consensus or have other thoughts? I’d love to hear them! Or if you just want to geek out about how awesome the series is in general, I’d love to talk about it with ya!

Hey everyone! Welcome to this week’s Rebellious Review! This week I’m going to be covering the new movie Black Widow. Let me tell you guys, this was a phenomenal movie. And I couldn’t be happier to review this. So, let’s get this started shall we?
Graphics
Even though it wasn’t an animated film, the fight scenes were done exceptionally well. You could practically feel like you were right there seeing what was happening to Natasha and her family. The scenes showed a new side of Natasha and made the scenes in the first Avengers movie hit differently. The costumes for the characters were exceptionally done too, they matched the theme with the movie and really played on what the movie was all about—mixing past with the present.
Score: 10/10
Characters
It makes you really feel for Natasha as you meet the members of her “Family”. As the movie goes on though, you actually begin to like her mother and father and understand who they are and what they did. The level of depth behind each character was amazing. Although, I wish they put more depth into the main enemy Drakof. He was intimidating and evil by his actions, but when it came to seeing him in person it was a major letdown.
Score: 8.5/10
Story Line
Wow, and I mean wow. At every turn, you are not bored. Not only do we get a look into who Natasha really is, but you get answers to questions we have been asking about since the first Avengers movie. Also, known as…Budapest. Yep, we finally get the puzzle pieces to figure out what happened with her and Clint in Budapest. Also getting a look into the organization that made Natasha into Black Widow was absolutely stunning and it makes you feel for her. She’s not just an assassin she is someone who has been through so much and literally had no say in the matter. Not to mention the little ending scene we get after the credits…I won’t spoil it, but crap is gonna go down. Lastly, just how she rekindles the relationship with her sister is just too amazing. She deserved so much and at least she got a few moments of happiness before the situation with Thanos.
Score: 10/10
Fangirl Level: 10/10
Final Score: 38.5/40
Well, that’s all for this review. I hope y’all liked reading this one. What did you guys think? Do you agree with my consensus? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Just drop a comment below!

Hey everyone! And welcome to this week’s Rebellious Review! This time I’m going to be reviewing the movie Raya and the Last Dragon. Seeing that it has finally become available for free on Disney Plus. I was so excited to see it become available and it has quickly become one of my favorites to watch. So let’s begin shall we?
Graphics
Each land looks way cool and detailed.
They could have shown us more of how each land looks like so we can really get a feel for what they are about.
The magic we get to see is really cool and it really stands out.
Each character looks unique and so do the creatures. You can tell the difference in lands with how well they did the clothing.
Score: 9/10
Characters
I absolutely loved each of the different personalities that was given to each character. They all felt very unique.
The personality of Sisu was highly entertaining and very enjoyable to watch. And even more so the band of unlikely friends Raya comes in contact with to help her.
They aren’t your typical Disney characters they are really unique. I appreciate the un-cookie-cutterness so to speak.
I absolutely adored the creatures in this movie. Personally Tuk-Tuk is my favorite. Sure it’s only natural that a “Disney Princess” has an animal companion that’s practically a trope that Disney has never strayed from. But I feel like Tuk-Tuk is different, it’s hard to explain. But overall, he is absolutely adorable. Especially with how he’s constantly distracted by the littlest things.
Three words: Toot and Boom.
Score: 10/10
Story
Right from the get go you are pulled in. And I mean wow.
Not your typical Disney Princess movie.
You can’t predict the story. And I’m pretty good at that seeing I screen write and write books.
The way Raya goes about saving the world is very cool.
Constantly amused with practically everything Sisu says.
The main concept of “Getting along and accepting your differences” is much needed and appreciated in these current times.
The way she fixes everything is absolutely beautiful. I definitely needed tissues.
The language used from Dep la to benturi is so cool.
Asian elements celebrated and referenced which is awesome.
Dragons. ‘Nough
Score: 10/10
Fan Girl Level: 10/10
Overall Score 39/40
Well, that’s it for this weeks Rebellious Review! I hoped y’all enjoyed it. Do you guys agree with the score? What were your thoughts on the movie? I’d love to hear them!
Also if y’all want to help support me feel free to visit my Ko-Fi and leave a tip! It would be much appreciated! Especially since my goal this time is to have enough money to be able to fund my current cosplay build: Warrior Goddess Leafeon.
Hey everyone and welcome to other Rebellious Reviews! This time I will be reviewing the newest movie that Disney has graced us with: Cruella. The backstory of one of Disney’s most infamous villainess’. And boy oh boy was this a ride. I can only describe it has the legend Tony Stark has once said. “Drop your socks and put on your crocks we’re about to get wet on this ride.” So let’s get to it shall we?
Story:
Amazing and thrilling at every turn.
You find yourself on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what Cruella will do next.
Not a storyline that is predictable by any means
It gives a look into the Disney Villainess that actually makes you understand her on some level.
Gives a backstory to her that you never thought you needed.
Never a dull moment.
You are sucked into the story from the very first moment and keeps your attention.
Score: 10/10
Graphics
The setting and costumes are beautiful and very well done. They add to the story very well and put depth to the characters.
We get a beautiful look into the fashion world that Cruella immersed herself into and has shaped her greatly.
When we are taken to the main house of “The Baroness” the biggest fashion house before Cruella becomes a big name in fashion herself, the camera angles that are used to show the fashion house do a good job of showing the layout, but I must say they are quite dizzying. I found myself having to close my eyes till the camera shots ended.
In the most dramatic moments, the camera angles we’re given add immensely to the scene and set the tone perfectly and add to the drama.
Score: 9/10
Characters
Our main heroine/villainess Cruella. Let’s just say that wasn’t really her name to begin with. She get’s so much character development throughout, that you can’t help but end up rooting for her in some way or another.
Horace and Jasper. Yea…Horace is still an idiot, but he is definitely more lovable this time around. So is Jasper. They’re actually friends with Cruella in the beginning of her journey. One can only imagine what happens to their friendship after the dust settles hypothetically speaking.
“The Baroness”. Where do I even start? If we thought Cruella was bad eventually. Hah! This woman makes her look like a puppy!
Overall, the characters are amazing and have depth like no other. I am really happy at how the characters both new and old were portrayed.
Score: 10/10
Fan Girl Thoughts
Disney has done it again! They have made me like yet another villain. And respect her!
I love how intricate they made her story it makes me wanna watch the movie ten times over.
Score: 10/10
Overall score: 39/40
All in all, this was a fantastic movie. Maybe a few things here and there that I would have changed but it more than deserves this score. What to do you guys think? Do you agree, or have other opinions? I’d love to hear them!
Hey guys! Welcome to this week’s Rebellious Reviews! This time I’m going to be reviewing the Demon Slayer movie. No worries though, I won’t spoil anything—at least not on purpose eheh. Well then! Let’s get to it shall we?
Graphics
Each cinematic scene was brilliantly done.
You could feel like you were there with each battle.
It would suck you in and you couldn’t take your eyes off of the screen.
The looks of each character are very crisp and clean.
Score: 10/10
Characters
If you have seen the anime you know that the characters already have so much depth to them, but this movie game them even more.
You get a scene where it gives us a look into the characters—Inosuke, Tangiro, Xenitsu, and Rengoku. It is insanely powerful because you really get a look at how the character’s personalities are, well at least two of them, the other two…I’ll leave that surprise for y’all to see for yourselves.
Score: 10/10
Story
I knew the ending was coming but I still cried—if you know you know. Again, no spoilers
It hints at a possible season two which yay! That’s been long awaited.
Gripping and at times, completely and utterly terrifying
Some deep psychological stuff here, like damn.
Score: 10/10
Sound
The voice acting is completely phenomenal. I have only watched the Sub version so far so I can’t speak for the Dub, but I’m sure they did an excellent job as well.
You can really tell the raw emotion in some of the scenes—cries.
The music is quite good as well, it adds to each scene and really sets the tone of the scene.
Score: 10/10
Final thoughts
I would watch it again and again.
I watched it in Sub, and it was excellent, I’m actually quite curious to see how the Dub is.
So many cosplay ideas so little time.
Score: 10/10
Final score: 50/50
Overall this movie was absolutely amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. I could easily watch it again and again. And usually, I don’t give perfect scores unless something deserves it. This movie definitely deserved it.
Hey guys, it’s been a while hasn’t it? Well, I’m back at it again! This time I’m going to be reviewing the newest game Nintendo has brought to the Pokémon fandom: New Pokémon Snap. At first I was a bit skeptical to try it, but I’m glad I did. Especially since I have a bit of a bias to photography. So, let’s get to it shall we?
Graphics
The detail on each Pokémon looks really cool and you can see everything from the markings on Arbok to Mangenium’s flower
The habitats look really cool and with the travel through the environments, you feel like you’re actually in there.
Minior crashes and the graphics when it crashes are amazing. The switch buzzes and it looks like an actual meteor has crash-landed.
Score: 10/10
Sound
You can hear the Pokémon calls and be able to differentiate each Pokémon by it.
The character voices are really cool. The option to hear it in either Japanese or English is much appreciated.
Very crisp and clean.
Score: 10/10
Gameplay
It’s really fun so far I like the photography in it hence Pokémon Snap.
Thought it would be boring just taking pictures, but they make it very immersive and have little challenges, so it makes taking good pictures quite worthwhile.
For example, there’s a grading system it goes off of. One star, two-star, three-star, and four stars. And depending on how well you do in the categories it gives you–for example placement or the Pokémon’s pose, the star rating will be higher or lower.
One thing I would change though is I wish that you could control the ship that you’re in to get around. Either make it faster or slower and choose to stop it or not. Just so you can get better pictures. But then again, I see the challenge in it. Seeing that because the vehicle is in constant motion and you only have control over your camera, it’s a challenge to get a good picture and find Pokémon in general. So, in a way, this is a good tactic to make the game more entertaining and fun. So basically, a negative becomes positive in the long run.
Score: 9/10
Overall thoughts.
It’s a really fun game. I’ve never tried the Pokémon Snap games before, so I was pretty skeptical. But I’m glad I picked this game up. It really makes the photographer in me really happy. And it’s different than what I’ve played before so it’s a refreshing difference. I would highly recommend this game to whoever is looking for a casual, relaxing, and all-around fun game. Especially when it comes to Pokémon.
Overall Score: 29/30
So, there you have it guys! What did you think about that score? Agree with it? Disagree with it? I’d love to hear y’alls thoughts!
And lastly, if you wanna support The Rebel Fae and my writing and cosplay ventures feel free to drop a Ko-fi my way! This time’s goal is getting my Harley Quinn cosplay up and running once more. It means a lot to me to re-try this cosplay after having some emotional struggles with it a while back. So, any help is amazing! Just click here!
A video game fully based on an anime. On top of that, a video game based on an anime that I absolutely love. I gotta say, this game was such a pleasure to play. And a surprise too seeing that I usually never go for anime based video games. But I got to give this one props where props are due! Now on to the rest of the review shall we?
Originality
I personally really think that this concept was really well, original for lack of a better term. It’s a continuation of the first game. Most would think that turning the story line of My Hero Academia into a fighting game is too cliche, but in my humble opinion I think it’s a great concept and really fits the anime.
Score: 10/10
Graphics
Fighting scenes? Wow. Comic strip style? Very well done! Hotel? Trivago…Sorry guys, couldn’t resist. Anyways, it was all very good I just wish we could have gotten a little more animation in the story scenes.
Score: 9/10
Storyline
Thetes not much to say aside from I’m so very glad that they follow the storyline of the second half of the anime. They portrayed each part excellently. And it was a joy to play. I surprised myself because I usually don’t like these types of games, but this one my actually change my opinion!
Score: 10/10
Overall I’m very satisfied with this game and I’m glad I picked it up! It’s a game that I would happily recommend to others! It doesn’t have any drawbacks at all to be frank. It’s quite awesome.
